Despite of the raising awareness on gender equality, women, together with their children, still suffer the potential threat of domestic violence. This has always been an alarming issue faced by our society and Georgia started to make a difference as a group of people decided to help other women who became and are currently victims of domestic violence. Georgia being on the 12th rank among the states with the highest rate of domestic violence The Purple PocketBook is the first domestic violence app in the state of Georgia. The Purple PocketBook app create a safe and secured portal in which information and supportive resources are available within a discreet app and accessible to many. The app for iPhone has been completed and released last May 2014. They started a breakthrough and now is our chance to do our part to help in putting a stop to domestic violence. The Purple PocketBook aims to become a vessel to free suffering women from the chains of domestic violence.
