About
Commercial farmers are spending resources unnecessarily where they are spending 30 hours/week walking their farm to determine their condition. Knowing the condition of their fields is crucial for farmers to decide when and where to spend, on average, $1.1 million of herbicide, pesticide, and fertilizer every year. To obtain this information, farmers have turned to crop scouts and manned aircraft, only to get weekly reports at most for up to $70,000/year. Ventus Systems is changing this. We are empowering farmers to cut costs and reduce the uncertainty they work with by providing them our Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) that capture low-cost, daily aerial imagery of their fields. With our UAS as their personal crop scout, farmers can reduce the materials needed to deal with problems by addressing them as soon as they arise and only spending materials on the areas that need it. In this way we are providing farmers with peace of mind and savings in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
